Jeremy Morrish ARCM MBII

Jeremy Morrish 2022Jeremy was involved with music from a very early age thanks to his musical upbringing. By the age of 10, Jeremy was playing in several wind-bands and orchestras on trumpet, trombone, euphonium, piano and violin.

At this age he was awarded a music scholarship with Buckinghamshire County Music Services. This gave Jeremy a wonderful opportunity to further his playing ability and to study all aspects of music theory, instrumentation and harmony, with aural and choral training too!

Continuing his passion for music and horses, on leaving school, he joined the mounted band of HM Life Guards – Household Cavalry. While attending the Army’s Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, Jeremy gained the ARCM performers’ diploma on euphonium – one of the first in the UK to achieve this distinction from the Royal College of Music.

During his service with the Life Guards, he toured many parts of the world with his band as a State Trumpeter. In1984 his duties took him to Cyprus to fulfil his role within the United Nations as one of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force.

Jeremy performed at many investitures each year at Buckingham Palace and one year even sang for the Royals and their guests in the ballroom for the State Diplomatic Ball. Jeremy was also asked to provide a music arrangement for Her Majesty’s Birthday Parade, Trooping the Colour. The music was performed by the massed bands of the Household Cavalry during the Birthday Parade in 1992 – a very proud moment for Jeremy.
